David Morse's Resources

Average Rating4.92
(based on 6945 reviews)

I regularly upload resources that I have created during 30 years as a teacher. Most of these are maths, but there are some ICT/Computing and Tutor Time activities. All of the resources are my own and are not available from third-parties. The resources have been tweaked over time and I have had many happy lessons and shed-loads of happy and successful students. At the end of 2017 the TES announced that I was the most downloaded new author and in 2018 another 2 million were added to the count.

GCSE Revision (Powers and Roots)

(38)
Ideal for GCSE revision, here are THREE worksheets which contain exam-type questions that gradually increase in difficulty. These sheets cover Integer Powers, Fractional and negative Powers and Changing the Base. This latter worksheet has some particularly challenging questions😀 These review sheets are great to use in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and for interventions. For similar-style revision sheets on other topics, click 👉 tes.com/../more... Answers are included, as is a NEW STYLE of PowerPoint, which allows individual questions to be selected for enlarged display onto a screen. The answer can then be worked out ‘live’ by the teacher (or student) or a single click will reveal my solution. This not only helps in class, but it is also very useful for a student who is revising at home 😀. 👍If you like this resource, then please rate it and/or leave a comment💬. GCSE Revision (Area of Shaded Regions)

(67)
Ideal for GCSE revision, this worksheet contains exam-type questions that gradually increase in difficulty. This sheet covers Area of Shaded Regions and all the questions involve calculating the area of a circle in some way. Not only is this sheet great for both Higher and Foundation GCSE revision, but it can also be used with younger students (I have used this sheet very successfully with Y8 (excepting the last two questions - which will stretch the most able older students!) These review sheets are great to use in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and for interventions. Pi and the Circumference of Circles (Complete Unit)

Pi and the Circumference of Circles (Complete Unit)

(37)
Four carefully thought-out worksheets, which have helped many classes focus on working out the circumference of a circle or perimeter of a part-circular shape. There are also questions that require students to work backwards to find the diameter (or radius) when the circumference (or perimeter) is given. There are plenty of worded problems and an excellent sheet on finding perimeters of more complex shapes with curves. My students always really enjoy working through these sheets. -- The sheets can be used for work in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and interventions. Solutions are included.
Probability Trees (Workbook with Solutions)

Probability Trees (Workbook with Solutions)

(35)
This workbook has detailed solutions and is great for revising Probability Trees. Click 👉tes.com/.../workbooks to download workbooks on other topics. I have used this booklet extremely effectively with students in Y9, Y10 and Y11. It contains the most typical questions that are seen in GCSE exams. There are eight ‘standard’ probability trees for the students to complete and answer questions on, the requirements of each tree gradually getting more complex. Replacement and non-replacement scenarios are included. Note that the trees in this booklet have two branches and are symmetrical [Non-symmetrical trees are covered in a different workbook which I will upload sometime in the future] Note that the booklet is designed to be printed as A4, but I usually reduce it to A5 and it still does the job. 👍If you like this resource, then please rate it and/or leave a comment💬. KS2 Maths (Pie Charts)

(31)
These topic-focused SATs questions at the end of a unit will help to test and extend students’ understanding as well as helping them to prepare for SATs next year. These questions have fully-worked solutions which can be displayed on a whiteboard making feedback with students more efficient. Click 👉 tes.com/…/KS2-Maths-Questions… for similar-style compilations on the other KS2 topics.
This particular compilation is from the STATISTICS strand and contains questions on Pie Charts.
I have designed this compilation to be printed as an A4 or A5 booklet which is in the style of the actual SATs papers and is convenient for use in class or as homework. It can even be given to individual students if a parent is asking for ‘some more work’! KEY POINTS: I have provided full answers, with comments and working where helpful. I have maintained the style of the actual SATs questions so that students can become comfortable with the way that SATs questions are presented. Most of the questions are from actual SATs papers, but I have also added questions so that this resource matches the requirements the current curriculum better than the older resources that are still in common use (note that many of the older resources of this type contain questions on topics which are no longer examined). I have spent a lot of time arranging the questions so that there is a general increase in difficulty as students work through them, and so that they fit on the pages better – this means less wasted space and significant paper-saving when printing 😃
👍If you like this resource, then please rate it and/or leave a comment💬. My students have always loved these summary booklets. This series of booklets, which I am starting to upload, have definitely had a massive impact on their grades.
