This Christmas maths colour by number fun activity will give students lots of practice of finding percentages of a number. A great seasonal activity to engage students this Christmas. The resource is differentiated into 3 different difficulties - finding 10% multiples, finding 5% multiples and finding 1% multiples. The outcome for each sheet is the same even though the questions are different. This resource can be used for all your KS3 and KS4 groups - let KS4 students differentiate for themselves, give lower ability groups the 10% multiples and give higher ability groups the 1% multiples. A fun easy activity for the end of christmas term BUT students will still be completing more than 300 questions on percentages! Students need to answer the questions and find which colour corresponds to the answers in order to reveal a Christmas picture. This particular picture reveals a Christmas tree. A comprehensive set of lesson plans for an introductory gymnastics unit, most appropriate for year 6 or lower KS3. The unit covers skills pupils will need to create their own individual gymnastics routines including individual balances, rotations, travelling movements, jumps and compositional aspects. All resources mentioned in the SOW are included in this product – Individual balance resources sheet and task card(Worth £3.50), set balances task card(not available anywhere else), rolls and balances task card, compositional aspects criteria and assessment matrix. This SOW / set of 6 lesson plans for gymnastics covers the following skills and objectives: Lesson 1 - Basic shapes - Know and demonstrate the basic shapes in gymnastics and apply them to a variety of different contexts. To develop control, fluency, tension and extension. To understand the compositional aspect of levels. Lesson 2 Rotations - To accurately replicate a variety of rotations. To know where the axis of rotation are. To apply skills learnt into a sequence Lesson 3 – Jumps - To accurately replicate a variety of jumps. To apply skills learnt into a sequence Lesson 4 – Individual balances - To accurately replicate balances individually. Lesson 5 – Travelling movements - To develop a variety of ways of travelling from one location to another. Lesson 6 – Composition and assessment - To develop and apply knowledge of compositional aspects. This SOW was created to save time for busy teachers and is made so teachers with little/no gymnastics experience can teach it just as well as those with lots. You should be able to teach a lesson with minimal preparation, maybe watching a few videos before hand or printing out some resources. The scheme has diagrams, assessment levels, differentiation , teaching points, Assessment for learning/plenary activities, links to videos that show the skill, clear explanations of the tasks and all resources and links to the resources required via the lesson plan. No timings are included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. They should provide enough tasks for lessons of 40 minutes and above. Useful for a starter, settler or fun end of lesson activity that adds a bit of competitiveness to the lesson with a Halloween theme. Skills include: times tables to 12, multiplying a 1 digit by 2 digit, multiplying 2 digit by 3 digit. 10 treasure hunt cards per difficulty, solutions and student record cards included. Students absolutely love getting out of their seat and they can check their answers independently as they go along! Difficulties include: ★(blue letter box)times tables to 12 ★(gold letter box)multiplying a 1 digit by 2 digit ★(red letter box)multiplying 2 digit by 3 digit Students need to start on any random card and note down the letter on their recording card (first page). They answer the question on that card then find another card that has the answer on (they then note down that letter and so on). Suggestions for use: ★Print them off on A4 and scatter them around the room (students love getting out of their seats!) ★Print all 3 sets off A4 and scatter them around the room and get students to start at different levels.
