This is a tried and tested project to support students at home during the COVID 19 pandemic, so its great for uploading to Google Classroom. The project is about Optical Illusions within art, known as ‘Op Art’. There are 9 tasks to do including artist research, contextual research, a 3D paper sculpture challenge aswell as various drawing tasks. A project for KS3, currently tried and tested with great success on a year 7 cohort. The project engages students with the theme of personal identity and looks at how identity was displayed on historic ‘Coat of Arms’. Students will get a chance to create an identity silhouette, aswell as design their own Coat of Arms using symbols based on their own identity.
