New AQA A-level Chemistry foldable FLASH CARDS of definitions for ALL year 2 topics

(0)
Support your students to learn the definitions they need for all the year 2 A-level only topics in the new specification A-level chemistry! Each word document contains definitions that can be cut, individually folded over and used to revise or learn the accepted AQA definitions of key words and concepts for every topic. Students should print the sheets in A3 or A4 and then cut each definition into a strip. Fold over and glue together to give a robust card. Shuffle and test yourself or each other. Keep each topic separate or mix it up, the units are marked on each card so they can easily be re-sorted. Fold and laminate for a longer lasting set. Good for starter activities, revision and test yourself! This resource contains definitions for: 3.1.8 Thermodynamics 3.1.9 Rate equations 3.1.10 Equilibrium Constant Kp 3.1.11 Electrode potentials and electrochemical cells 3.1.12 Acids and bases 3.2.4 Properties of period 3 elements and their oxides 3.2.5 Transition metals and 3.2.6 ions in aqueous solution 3.3.7 Optical isomerism 3.3.8 Aldehydes and ketones 3.3.9 Carboxylic acids and their derivatives 3.3.10 Aromatic chemistry 3.3.11 Amines 3.3.12 Polymers and 3.3.13 amino acids and DNA 3.3.15 NMR 3.3.16 Chromatography and infrared spectroscopy

A-level chemistry definitions FLASHCARD bundle Year 1 and 2

3 Resources
This bundle contains flashcards for the complete A-level chemistry syllabus. Based on AQA but should be consistent across the majority of A-level exam specifications. The flash cards can be printed single sided then folded and glued to make a flashcard set or could also made into booklets. I hand the cards out at the start of each topic and then do definitions tests weekly on the topic of the week. Also included is a BONUS revision sheet on the chemistry Ks!

GCSE Chemistry 'Big Ideas' Part 1 - Structure, Bonding and the Properties of Substances AQA, OCR, Edexcel

6 Resources
‘Big ideas’ in chemistry is about identifying and systematically teaching the overarching principles and crucial concepts your students need to become outstanding chemists. Many resources and books are produced with a single exam specification in mind which can leave your students with better knowledge in some areas than others and can make changing exam boards more difficult due to costs of resourcing. Liberate yourself from the exam specification and teach this amazing subject holistically ensuring your students have the detailed knowledge they need to gain confident mastery and an ability to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar scenarios. ‘Big ideas’ enables easier transfer between exam boards for students and teachers (especially non-specialists), and ‘connections’ enables you to place your own emphasis during teaching on concepts important to the actual exams your students will be sitting.
