This lesson is inspired by Stephen Lawrence Day in April and includes 2 other lessons for free to accompany it. Osteoporosis Week comes at the beginning of June, but this could be part of PHSE at any juncture. The lesson discusses what the condition is and how it can affect the body, but also looks at preventative members and poses the question of why young people should be thinking of this/be aware now. This lesson is part of our series on Women’s Health and is designed to raise awareness of a little-discussed topic, highlighting the importance of awareness for all. It looks at what symptoms are involved, the value of support and sources of help.
