The included files were inspired by the many maths murder mystery cryptography challenges (links are in the resource pack). This version is based on the gunpowder plot & in it students must discover the date, the culprit(s), the location and the victim (History students may find this task slightly easier) I’ve made it accessible for key stage 3 and 4 students (may be a little too challenging for KS2), Makes a good whole class activity, can take up a whole lesson & I have used it on many occasions for a cover lesson. I’ve also created handouts in case you wanted to let the students do it individually. I sometimes give a prize to the student who solves it first. I hope your students enjoy it & are able to solve the mystery.
