6 Thinking Hats Plenary - What Skills Did I Use Today? (Learning to Learn Progression Task)
This a plenary (or a mini plenary) that encourages students to think about how they have progressed and the key learning moments in the lesson
Bundle
Unseen Poetry Bundle
The powerpoints in this bundle are appropriate for advanced (i.e. Year 9 working at the new GCSE Grade 4/5) or any GSCE group.
Each powerpoint is a full lesson. in some cases, the lesson extends to 2-3 lessons.
Lastly, each powerpoint contians the following:
Starter
All learning activities (differentiation and extension) such as writing tasks, deconstructions of the poem, scaffolded worksheets etc.

This resource is for KS3 and KS4 .
It can be used as a post reading task with unseen or seen poems.
The notes can then be used for essay writing.
Unseen Poem - Brothers
You can use this former AQA poem ‘Brothers’ as an unseen poem. The ppt includes all the resources and tasks needed for the whole lesson.
This lesson can be used with KS3 or KS4 as its premise requires students to dig deeper into a poem, identify and analyse the impact of poetic devices etc.
