3 sheets of marking stickers (which could be edited) that are linked to LO2 of the OCR Level 1/2 National Certificate in Sports Studies R051 course. These are designed to save time, effort and energy in marking and to give students a clear idea of the standard of their work and a visual cue as to the standard. They follow a RAG rating system used in Doddle but are also linked to the clear three marking bands used to assess the course. Each sticker will therefore have the appropriate theory content and a RAG rating achieved by the students in each aspect of LO2 -Values, Initiatives and Drugs in Sport. These are in a template form for a sheet of 14 address labels so your reprographics department will be able to easily print and supply to you for your students books/folders.

The sample stickers to use as part of a practical science lab based lesson bring the drug testing aspect of R051 to life in an engaging way. These can be printed onto a 14 label sheet so you can attach to samples and be well organised. (Reprographics will show you how - if I can figure it anyone can!) Pupils are part of WADA and investigate 6 athlete samples of Blood, Urine, Nails and Hair to see who has taken drugs. All resources together form a full resource. You just need to speak to your science technicians and make fake blood, fake urine, cut up some real hair and have fun! With a bit of prior planning this works really well! A resource that can be used in theory lessons for R052 L02 that includes questions/word searches/crosswords so could be extension in class, homework ot simply a time filler.

These activity cards will go with my already published L01 student and teacher booklet as a student activity related to user groups and barriers to participation. Available as free resource. NB Will require some cutting and sticking to make laminated cards and also for pupils to stick into booklets.

A resource to create a memory game to see knowledge and understanding in handball - positions and court markings. A warm up game for school children learning handball that tests knowledge of court/lines and handball positional roles – great starter for recall of knowledge. It encourages teams to work together and use problem solving skills and communication. A twist on the pairs/memory card game. “Handball Match” memory game rules • Cut each page in half to create 25 cards. • Place these face down at one end of the sports hall. • Create 4 teams of equal numbers. • Players numbered 1-5 for example in each team • One Ball per team • On whistle blast player 1 dribbles ball to end, stops and can turn over 2 cards. If they “match” keep them and take back to own team for a “goal” • If don’t match put them back face down and dribble back to team. • If pick a “goal” card take it and put other card back face down. • Discuss with team on your return position of cards etc • Number 2 goes… Repeat as above • Number 3 goes …Repeat as above • Until all cards have been collected and all goals scored once checked. • Minus one if incorrect pair collected! • Extension task– have one player acting as a defender players have to get past to even try and score!!
