This is a presentation using the angle family; Mr Obtuse, Mrs. Right, Baby Acute and Reflex Rex! It is a fun way to help students remember the different types of angles. The last slide contains a quick review of what they learned. The worksheet contains 6 different angles. The children must first name the angles. Then, estimate their size and finally measure them using a protractor. I would recommend using these resources with Year 4 or Year 5.

This is resource contains an exercise that gets the children to practice using a ruler; as well as a presentation on converting units of measure. The worksheet asks students to measure the lines with their rulers. They then must convert from cm to mm. As an extension at the end, they are required to draw their own lines based on a length given in centimetres. The presentation goes through how to convert from mm to cm, and from cm to m. There are exercised along the way to get the children practicing. This lesson is suited for a Year 4 class or could be used for revision with Year 5. The answers to the lengths are also included.

This power point explains what a prefix is. It gives the opportunity for students to brainstorm words that contain the prefix il- before directing them via QR code to Quizlet to practice words with beginning with il-. If you are not familiar with Quizlet is allows the children to practice the words interactively on flashcards, test if they can spell the words correctly by playing the game Gravity and also allows them to match the meaning to the word. It is an excellent website which the class always.

This is a simple worksheet and power point ideal for a Year 4 class. The power point explains what a prefix is and gives examples of the prefix inter-. It then gives the opportunity for a differentiate dictionary task. The worksheet involves dictionary work and a filling in the blank exercise.

This is a collection of word problems aimed at students in Year 4-6. (High ability group for Year 4). There are eight quizzes included each with five questions. All answers are included. The quizzes cover different strands. The topics covered are as follows: Fractions of money Fractions of amounts Time problems Money money problems Perimeter and area Subtraction and addition multiple step problems Ordering fractions and decimals The questions vary in difficult but are sure to keep the class busy. I find these questions especially good as an extension, a pop quiz, EMA activity or to use one or two at the beginning or end of a lesson.

This is a play script I used for a Year 4 class assembly. The theme is Persistence and is centered around authors, specifically Roald Dahl, J.K Rowling and Dr. Seuss. It is a perfect play to use for Book Week. The performance has a cast of 24 students (parts can be combined or split if needed). The play lasts around 30 minutes and includes two songs and a dance routine. The different roles gives opportunities to all students from the dramatic ones to the more reserved. I hope your class enjoys it as much as mine did!

This resource includes a poem used to show different poetic techniques as well as a power point. It could be used in any KS2 poetry class. This poem is called Desperate. It is about s child trying to include all the poetic techniques they have learned but they are finding the task difficult. Without knowing they include all the techniques required. Techniques include alliteration, rhyme, metaphor, simile and personification. The power point explains alliteration, similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, rhyme and repetition and gives examples of each.
