This is the seventh lesson in the Electricity unit of work (P2) and would cover about an hour to 90 minutes of teaching including writing up and analysing the oscilloscopes and drawing out the National Grid system.

This lesson covers both the apparent and absolute magnitude of stars, brightness and luminosity, the logarithmic scale and the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. The H-R diagram includes the positions of the main stellar types, the Sun and the evolutionary path of the Sun. There is a worksheet of questions on these topics, including an answer sheet.
