French Passé Composé with Avoir - Regular Verbs - 75 Practice Cards

(0)
French Passé Composé with Avoir - Regular Verbs - 75 Practice Cards This resource includes two sets of 75 task cards for practicing the passé composé of regular ER, IR, and RE verbs. Half of the cards in each set use negation (ne…pas / ne…jamais / ne…pas encore) and the other half do not. One set of cards includes hints as to what the infinitives mean as well as an English translation, and the other set does not. I like to let my students use the cards with the hints as they’re becoming comfortable with the rules and the infinitives used on the cards. Once they’ve gone through the set a few times I like to switch to the set with no hints. They’ll learn so many more regular verbs than they ever would in a textbook. Included: ➯ 75 practice cards with translations in English ➯ 75 practice cards without English translations ➯ Answer key and student response sheet You also get paper free sets that students can open up on their devices as well as sets with 4 cards per page that you can print and cut to have students work with them either individually or with partners / small groups.

Advanced French conversation questions - La technologie

(2)
❖ La Technologie- Technology - Discussion ciblée - French themed conversation questions ❖ Part of our series of “discussions ciblées”. List of 35 vocabulary words related to the water’s edge Includes 20 discussion questions. The questions are suitable for upper level and AP French or for high school French immersion. This resource is especially useful for your chapter on technology. The questions are thorough and thought provoking. I like to print the list of words on one side of a page and the questions on the other side so that students can easily refer to the new vocabulary during their conversations. If you make a two sided copy everything will fit on one page. Also included is a set of speaking cards for students to use prior to using the discussion cards so that they can become familiar with the theme and many new words. The cards just need to be printed and cut out so that your students can use them in pairs or small groups. Each card says, “Décris le mot suivant en français et ton partenaire le devinera.” The vocabulary word is written both in French and English since many of the words will be new. This exposure to the vocabulary will make the discussion that follows flow easier. Students will still have easy access to the list of words on the other side of the photocopied questions. Don’t want to print? That’s ok! A PDF with just one card per page is included for easy projecting or for tablets. ❖ La Technologie- Technology - Discussion ciblée - French themed conversation questions ❖

Want your ESL students to use their vacation vocabulary? This NO PREP activity is a fun way to encourage your intermediate to advanced students to speak more. Just print and cut out the cards or you may choose to project them for a whole class activity or for when you don’t want to print (or don’t have time). You can use these cards after learning specific vocabulary for vacations or as a fun interactive activity on a day when you want to just focus on speaking and reviewing vocabulary in a different way. There are 30 questions in all. All of the questions are asked in the YOU form and require the answering student to respond using I. Most of the questions begin with an interrogative word encouraging more than YES and NO responses. Some questions are in the near future while others are in the past tense. Topics used in these cards: * Means of transportation * Geographical locations * Some airport vocabulary * Travel destinations (beach, mountain, etc.) * Preferences Included: 30 color speaking prompt cards 30 black and white speaking prompt cards 9 ways to use these cards Scoot activity instructions Scoot answer recording sheet All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a keyring. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities.

Free French School Menu #6 Have a look at what’s on the menu at my kids’ school in France. Cheese every day!! I’ll be adding more menus weekly as I receive them. There are so many things a French teacher could do with these in class. It would be a fun cultural study to look up images of some of these menu items to show students what they look like and if they eat anything similar at their schools or homes. This could lead to a discussion on the length of time French students typically have to eat and rest as compared to students and teachers in your school.
