This resource includes 3 versions of the game with both black and white and color copies.

Est-ce que tu as déjà…? This passé composé speaking activity is great for getting French 2 students to speak and review at the end of the year and again for French 3 students as an ice-breaker activity as early as the first day of class after summer vacation. This activity uses mostly verbs with AVOIR as helping verb including mostly regulars, but some irregulars as well. There are a few reflexive verbs that use “être” as helping verb and the verb ALLER is included several times in each of the 5 versions of this activity. This resource includes: Est-ce que tu as déjà…? - 5 different versions of the activity with 16 questions per grid for a total of 80 getting to know your questions in the passé composé. How to play: Have your students move around the room asking classmates if they have ever done what is written in the squares on the grid that you provide. If a classmate responds with OUI he or she writes his name on the line provided. Complete sentences are encouraged even when the answer is NON. Activity continues until all boxes are filled. Once all of the boxes have been signed your students can turn in their papers. This is a fun, interactive way to review the passé composé. In this PROFESSIONS theme version of the game there 30 French-English cards. A French only version is also included for immersion classrooms. There are 2 fun ways to play this fun vocabulary game and both are explained in the instructions. This French Taboo game includes the following: How to play classic Taboo (beginner and advanced levels) 30 Taboo game cards to print, laminate, cut out and hook together with a keyring How to play 15 MINUTES MAX - an alternative version of the game 15 MINUTES MAX game board Sheet to record new words in French and English (nouveaux mots) *In the upper left corner there's a spot for you to punch holes in the cards so that you can then attach them with a ring for no prep use every time. Be sure to laminate if at all possible! Object of the game: One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the word at the top of the card. Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Beginner students should be allowed to use the TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

Use these French vocabulary building activities with groups of students who need to learn and practice specific vocabulary and what to say in everyday situations in French. 100 DIFFERENT SITUATIONS in which it is useful to have specific vocabulary are included. Each worksheet is only 25 cents! Use these 1 page worksheets all year with students at every level. They make for an easy, no prep lesson when you need to have a sub. I've also used this type of activity a lot with my French club. If you want your students to practice writing and would prefer to opt for a silent activity, why not use them in a fun game of SCOOT? With 100 worksheets you'll have more than enough to put different vocabulary themes on each desk. Instructions are included. Each of the 100 worksheets is only in French so they are perfect for both immersion and core French programs. The vocabulary themes are suitable for any age, from primary immersion through high school with traditional French as a second language kids. Each worksheet includes an image to illustrate the theme. There are several ways I like to use these worksheets which are fantastic bell ringers and ice breakers. I love to have them on hand at back to school and toward the end of the year to use as review. All 100 worksheets are also included in my French Ice-Breaker Bundle for Back to School SCOOT: Tape a different version of the worksheets to each desk or seat in your classroom. Choose vocabulary themes that your students should be familiar with. Students move around the classroom from seat to seat and will rotate through all of the worksheets. All students start at their own seat and take note of the worksheet they begin with. Students write something they would say in the chosen vocabulary theme and record their name next to it. They can’t repeat what another student has already written! When the teacher says BOUGEZ after a chosen amount of time (15 - 30 seconds or so will keep the game fast paced) students move to the next seat and start all over again with a different theme. Play the game until students make it to their original seat. It may be helpful to number the desks so that students will know which seat to move to next. You can always collect the sheets after the game to do a quick assessment if you wish. I’ve included an additional response sheet as the one page worksheet only has space for ten responses. SMALL GROUPS: Students work with partners or small groups to come up with short sentences using target vocabulary. Using the charts provided, students write down what they would say to the person indicated (doctor, postman, etc) and they write the name of the person who said it. Each person in the group says at least one thing. There is a one page worksheet for each of the vocabulary themes. I recommend printing them all out and putting them in a folder so that you have easy access when it’s time to photocopy
