The worksheets are differentiated by support and challenge, with more support and examples given for less able, and all worksheets include a challenge where either pupils need to multiply by 10 without using a place value grid or multiply numbers to 2 decimal points by 10 for the more able.

Two differentiated worksheets are included, one with more support and explaining how to move the digits one place to the left and use a 0 as a place holder in the ones column, the other with less support for more able. Includes a challenge/extension activity at the end of each worksheet for children to multiply by 10 mentally without using a place value grid. Could be used in Year 2 or 3 for introducing multiplying 2-digit numbers by 10 using place value.
