The holiday was established by a 21 June 2007 decree of the then Crown Prince and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. International Day of the girl child is annually celebrated on 11th October to raise the awareness about the rights of girl child.

In stage 3-4, students need to be familiar with writing both formal and informal letters. This resource can work as a sample to get started.
