Check out this five prompt geomtry challenge. It can be used for a group or be done independently. Each of the challenges push students to create a quesiton of their own based on the topic provided which include polygons, triangles, 3-dimensional shapes and more. The prompt tells students the questions are to be test-type questions but adapt as needed. The idea is that students think through creating problems as well as the answer key to the topics they have learned. This serves as a great review come testing time!

This clearly organized and student-friendly graphic organizer clearly defines the number of sides, name of the polygon, he representation and the description of shapes with anywhere from 3 sides up to 6 sides. This color-coded template comes in six different formats that omit different amounts of columns for use as worksheets, assessments, differentiation, posters, anchor charts, reference sheets and more!

Aligned to EngageNY and Eureka Math, this blown up poster is set to be printed on six pages, cut out, and glued together. This large poster offers a great supplement to the expectations of problem solving in these two math curriculums. Following three simple steps of read (the question), Write (out solving the question) and Draw (a model to solve) pushes for critical thinking and problem solving when looking at word problems.

Covered in this topics are addiing and subtracting mixed numbers, using tape diagrams and models to solve fractions of whole numbers, use of rectangular fraction models and more. This can easily be used as a study guide, assessment, workshet and so much more!

Check out this three part mini lesson that includes a multitude of question formats for students to apply their learned concepts of place value and number sense. This can be adapted for multiple days, for a week long homework packet, or for in-class assignments such as independent work, small group work, whole group or interventions. Check out this awesome packet that includes 10 different worksheets with correlating answer keys. This mental math coaching exercise covers the topics of addition and subtraction and each sheet includes six problems. It is meant to be played one student vs one student in which student 1 coaches student 2 to find the sum. The sixth question on each one has the sum but is missing a box and students need to figure out what is missing. This is a great student-centered activity in which students support, explain, and teach each other while building number fluency, place value understanding and mnetal math skills. Directions are included!

Check out this fun and engaging with for students to practice their one digit addition skills. With 81 question cards. Each question card is meant to be glued or taped to the answer key which serves as the backing to each card. Students use a clothespin or binder clip or paperclip to cover one of the four answers on the bottom of each card which answers the question on the top. Once the pin covers the answer, they can flip over the card and find the correct answer showing an emoji on the back, which should also be covered by their pin. Kids will have a blast with this while they self-monitor their progress and can respond in the moment to correct their answers and clarify their misunderstandings. I would suggest printing it on color paper to make it even more fun! Directions for the teacher are included as well! Have fun!

Students from all walks of life have huge capacity in increasing their memory when a beat or song is attached to it. Though these lyrics have been adapted for my students, I highly encourage you to adapt them as you need to meet your students' needs.
