This is the bundle for your Stage 2 students. Year 3 This resource booklet is a time saver for all primary teachers. Within the book are links and activities which will help keep a year 3 class busy for a week or more. There are links to units of work, videos, interactive games, fantastic apps and printable activities. Based around the theme of Animals, children will have opportunities to engage in some wonderful activities base on the story book "Giraffes can't dance" by Giles Andreae All resources and sites that have been selected are free, or through subscription (with no fee) To get maximum benefit from this eBook you will need to really explore the links and contents to adapt and modify to the children you will be working with. The suggested timetable is linked to hundreds of ideas for CAPA and PDHPE. Year 4 This booklet uses one of my all time favourite stories, "Lester and Clyde" by James H. Reece. A wonderful tale that explores the themes of pollution on the environment, recycling, and of course frogs. There are resources linked to all of these ideas within the booklet. Your students may enjoy a research project using a Webquest, or investigate how far a 'cottonball frog' can jump. This resource is a time saver; there are some fabulous links for you to explore and make these units of work your own. To get the best use out of this booklet, I encourage you to click on all of the available downloads and links. There are many treasures hidden in here. The Pinterest board alone is full of some fantastic and engaging activities for the theme of frogs and caring for our environment. This 30 page booklet comes with a 7 page booklet of behaviour management strategies. The theme for the term 2 booklets is "Under the Sea". The focus books in this booklet are "Tiddler the Story Telling Fish" by Julia Donaldson, and "There's a Sea in my Bedroom" by Margaret Wild. Spelling and word work is based on the words from " Tiddler" and I have made a Quizlet to use to support the teaching of these words. The booklet has sections on hints for relief teachers,reading and literacy, numeracy, thematic work, celebration days for term 2 and a page of suggested apps that are a fantastic addition to your teaching resource kit. Worksheets are included for spelling and literacy as well as a feedback sheet which you are able to copy so that you can leave feedback for the classroom teacher you are replacing. Year 5 Unit The underwater theme is continued throughout this booklet, and the book chosen is "Turtle Bay"by Saviour Pirotta, illustrated by Nilesh Mistry. It is a based on a true story set in Japan, of a man who would spend his days at a certain time of the year, sweeping the beach. Taro, the young child in the story is fascinated by this, and in time he meets the beautiful turtles when they come onto the beach to lay their eggs. There are some fabulous links to websites in the thematic section of the booklet to support doing a mini unit of work on sea turtles. They are a fascinating animal, that is under pressure from human activity in the oceans. I am thrilled to be able to bring you some free resources from GoTeachThis and Ripper Reading Resources. Year 6 Unit The Island, by John Heffernan is a wonderful story about a blind boy who sees the beauty of the island he lives on, while the people around him cannot see it. A fantastic story with a link to a narration by the author. Some great links to accelerated literacy activities, and the theme of this booklet investigates our oceans and the threats to our marine life. Lots of links across all KLA's with a fully interactive timetable which links to my pinterest board. Use these quick writing starters to get the brain ticking over. These are best used as a timed activity with students given a short amount of time 10-15 minutes to work on their writing. No worrying about spelling, the focus of these tasks is to get the ideas flowing and down onto paper. Group sharing of ideas is an important and integral part of this process. Students may be encouraged to work further on one of these ideas. Use the dice template for a different variation of characters settings and problems with a multitude of combinations. Best printed on heavy card stock or laminated for durability.
