A series of posters displaying different FREE apps to encourage students to continue learning outside of the classroom, a mixture of revision and curriculum apps and general apps about advances in science.

This covers the QWC questions given by AQA for core physics over the past few years. Each question has a answer preparation section, a keywords section and a space for the students answer and a mark scheme. There is a PowerPoint with videos for most of the questions and hints on the questions to go on the board. Designed to be used by non-specialists in the run up to the physics exam. Please give any feedback on how it could be improved.

A worksheet based AC and DC currents, using the history of science talking about Edison and Telsa as the starting point. This was used for low ability pupils.

I allow my students around 30-40 minutes to do this in pairs. Following on from the previous worksheet where the pupils had to design their own vertebrate and label it, the pupils now have to design a habitat for their vertebrate, the boxes around the edge should be filled with labels explaining why they have put the things there. I got my pupils to do this in pairs and then made a display along with the earlier worksheet called 'Year 7's Fantasy Zoo'. I would recomend blowing this up to A3 size on the photocopier.

A fun Christmas activity (although could be used at other times of the year), the “angels” of physics come with an equation they are closely associated with, students can then get creative by adding their own wings. I will also be setting my students the task of writing a biography about their “angel” over the Christmas break.

A-level physics lesson covering resistance in series and parallel, emf, internal resistance and lost volts.

This is the second lesson for A-level physics on waves. this lesson looks at Amplitude, wave properties and phase. The lesson covers phase in fractions, degrees and radians. A fully differentiated lesson with a fun board game to liven up the topic and a homework activity.

A fun twist on the traditional loop game! With 56 key words based on Particle Physics and Quantum Phenomena, print these off double sided on coloured paper and have your A-level students read the definition, the students then find the matching word, on the back of the matching word is another definition, the students find the next word and link them together in a traditional paper chain, with the word displaying on the outside. A fun way for students to check their understanding of keywords from A-level physics whilst also making decorations to give your lab a festive feel for Christmas! Length of activity: approximately 30-40 minutes if students are working in pairs and fun christmas music is playing in the background.
