An engaging ‘Harry Potter’ themed Enterprise activity. Students (KS3/KS4) work in groups to complete a very hands on Business/ Finance Challenge. The resource involves two main tasks- 1- A location challenge, concluding with in each team being given a Harry Potter themed business name. 2- Ice Cream challenge- students will need to demonstrate a range of skills including team-work, communication, finance and strategic thinking; whilst making and selling ice cream tubs from a range of materials. The overall aim is to make as much profit as possible. Lesson time Approx. 1hr 30 minutes (timings can be adjusted). This resource pack includes a power-point presentation with suggested timings and clear instructions, a calculations sheet (for printing) and an activity template (for printing). Suitable for small groups of 4/5/6, classroom or year group. Please note: To make the most of this activity you will need around 40 small ice cream tubs, 40 plastic spoons and 200 cotton balls; for a group of 30 students.
