Students combined their map skills and knowledge of development in order to identify and prioritise which would be the best way to prepare and respond to hurricanes. It is a competition. Each decision they make scores points. The students with the highest amount of points wins! It will last one hour to complete the activity, mark the activity and give feedback. An easy lesson for student-led discovery.

A nice activity for Year 7 and 8 students to break the ice. It could be used with new GCSE classes too. The students go around the classroom and ask each other the questions on the sheet. They record the name of the person and their answer to the question. Should last between 15-20 minutes. Simple activity for the first day back. It can be made competitive by offering rewards for the first person to finish.
