This assessment and these lessons have been created to help determine the understanding of students and embed relevant skills necessary to approach KS3 history. It is recommended that the students complete the baseline test; the results are recorded but not shared. The 6 lessons are taught and then the test is repeated and progress monitored. This will help for planning and differentiation for the year.

This 6 lesson scheme of learning is designed to help students transition from years 6-7 in geography through helping them solidify skills learned in primary school and to learn new geographical skills necessary for key stage 3 and onwards. There are 6 lessons: What is geography? Maps Locating where we are Map symbols Grid references Relief The lessons are user friendly; are equipped with all of the necessary resources; and do not require the use of a text book. It also includes an assess ment for the end of the scheme of learning which takes about an hour to do, and test the knowledge and skills taught in the scheme of learning. it supports in helping teachers plan and differentiate for key stage 3.

This unit of work contains 8 lessons including an end of unit assessment on the industrial revolution for key stage 3. Each lesson contains a range of activities based on all assessment objectives. Resources are either contained as separate documents or within the power points for printing. All aspects of the industrial revolution are included and they contain evaluative studies of key people and events. This is useful to teach in September to lay the foundations for October’s Black History month when the role of slavery in enabling the industrial revolution can be studied. No resources/text book needed.

These are challenging lessons which require the students to fully analyse Elizabeth’s foreign policy and draw conclusions. They contained a wide range of varied tasks and video clips which ensure that students are stretched and challenged sufficiently for success at A level. This bundle is also suitable for Higher Attaining GCSE students covering the early Elizabethan Period option.

This bundle contains 3 resources for GCSE History to support lower and middle prior attaining students attains levels 4-6. Resource 1: Key features of ALL Cold War events revision cards. Cut them out; laminate them and learn the AO1 in bite size chunks. Resource 2: Cold War importance events booklet. The first answer is modeled, and then students need to answer all of the following questions using the structure shown and resource 1 for support. Resource 3: Coloured-coded; differentiated consequence cards for higher; middle and lower prior attaining students. Cut up cards; laminate them and match consequences to 36 different events while learning AO1 and 2.
