About Canary Wharf College Crossharbour
Canary Wharf College Crossharbour is situated in the heart of the docklands, on the door step of one of the UK’s main financial districts. We are a brand new mixed, 11-18 school that opened in September 2016. The school currently has Year 7, 8 and 9 students and will grow each year until we reach full capacity.
We are driven to ensure that our students leave school feeling empowered, with choices and options for future learning and employment, so that they are able to lead happy and fulfilling lives. Our vibrant and ambitious team are passionate about providing enriching opportunities and an excellent education for our students to make this possible.
Canary Wharf College Crossharbour is part of a growing Multi-Academy Trust. Our ethos is to 'Live, Share and Celebrate a Love of Learning in a Christian Environment, whilst welcoming those of other faiths and cultures.'
We are the third school founded by Sarah Counter. Canary Wharf College East Ferry, established in 2011, and Canary Wharf College Glenworth, founded in 2014, are both primary schools educating children aged 4-11. The trust is a friendly and welcoming community, made up of committed and experienced practitioners who are keen to collaborate and share knowledge and expertise across phases.
Canary Wharf College Crossharbour currently has 160 students on roll and moved into new buildings with specialist facilities in September 2018. Our small size has allowed us to establish high expectations and create a strong culture of excellence which our founding students will continue to emanate as they begin to lead their younger peers.
There are a lot of reasons why you should come and work at our brilliant school, Canary Wharf College. However, I believe that the main reasons are that the school has a respectful and encouraging environment; our teachers are always enthusiastic and pushing us to succeed and the children are happy, kind and helpful.- Year 7 Student - Demee
I am a Year 7 student at Canary Wharf College. I am proud to be part of a school with outstanding educational values. We set high standards and always strive to work to the best of our ability by setting goals for our academic performance, behaviour and personal responsibility. We are inspired by our teachers who always encourage use to share our ideas and feelings. I think, one of the best things about our school is that you can just be yourself to fit in.- Year 7 Student - Alex

“The most important thing for me has been the amazing support from the senior leadership team – in professional development, curriculum writing, working alongside parents and helping children. CWC is truly a team effort with everyone on board.”- Teacher at Canary Wharf College
