Values and vision
The Focus Learning Trust is affiliated with the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, and as such traditional Christian teachings underpin a great deal of the school’s ethos. It encourages tolerance and respect towards fellow pupils as well as staff members.
Focus School Berkeley Campus has a strong theme of rights and responsibilities, whereby every pupil’s right to a high-quality education and a stimulating environment goes hand-in-hand with the expectation that they act with courtesy and respect.
Teachers set rigorous standards for behaviour and uniform. The school also strives to ensure that pupils are properly praised and rewarded for good behaviour and hard work.
“Focus School Berkeley Campus provides a good quality of education for all pupils. The education provided fulfils the school’s aims for a safe and secure learning environment in which every child can develop academically and morally.”
