GHS has a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment, making it feel like a giant family. The students are engaged and will constantly push you to become the best teacher you can possibly be with their curiosity and thoughtful, insightful questioning. Every day is truly an adventure!

The ethos for excellence at GHS is contagious, it pervades the staff room as well as the classroom. The joy of learning, challenging and bettering oneself is inspiring, year on year, in both teachers and students. I REALLY believe this - it’s a special school.

Guildford High was very supportive throughout my NQT year, providing me with the appropriate guidance, trust and and freedom to enable me to thrive in my first full year of teaching. The atmosphere for staff is excellent - we all get to know each other well and regularly socialise outside of the working day. The Gin Tasting Evening’s are a particular highlight!

The girls are bright and fun to teach and the staffroom is so very caring and supportive. I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else!

This school is superbly busy; you will never feel bored that’s for sure as there is so much going on and so much to get involved in both within your subject specialism and extra-curricular!
