About Kirkham Grammar School
Kirkham Grammar School is a mixed, independent secondary school located in Preston, Lancashire. This all-through school has a pre-school, junior and senior schools, and a sixth-form. It educates pupils aged 3-18 and offers day and boarding provision.
Kirkham Grammar School was founded in 1549 as a charity and celebrated its 450th anniversary in 1999. Over the last decade, enrolment has risen from 500 to 900.

Kirkham Grammar School focuses on breadth of achievement in tandem with the highest academic success. The school aims to provide a challenging but enjoyable learning experience that allows pupils to excel. Its sixth-form results are noteworthy, with more than 60% of A Level grades at A or B.
The school believes its boarding house is one of the best-value boarding opportunities in the country. The house accommodates 60 students aged 11-18.
