About Our Lady's Abingdon

Our Lady’s Abingdon (OLA) is a thriving and highly regarded Catholic independent day school for boys and girls aged 3-18 years.  Founded in 1860 and set in pleasant grounds, we are but a few minutes walk to the centre of the historic market town of Abingdon, and just 8 miles from the city of Oxford.  As the only independent co-educational 3-18 day school in the county, pupils travel considerable distances to come to the school via the school’s extensive school bus network.

Christian principles and teaching are at the heart of OLA, although boys and girls of every faith, or none, are welcome to attend. OLA aims to develop the individual talents of each pupil, believing that every human being is created to become a unique person with gifts that need to be recognised and valued.  To find out more about OLA, please visit our website at www.olab.org.uk

What people say about us

I have enjoyed every minute of my time at OLA so far. My Department helped me make a very smooth transition and we are working very well as a team. The Leadership Team is friendly and approachable and this has also helped me settle with more confidence into my Middle Leader role. There is a family feel to this school which I find very pleasant on a daily basis."
