About Solihull School

Solihull is a leading coeducational independent 3 – 18 day school. The school has been in existence since 1560 and is located across two campuses. Solihull Preparatory School (3 – 11) on the 20-acre Saint Martin’s campus and Solihull Senior School (11 – 18) on the 50-acre Warwick Road campus.

The school maintains strong links with former pupils’ via Solihull Community (alumni.solsch.org.uk) and has a very active and supportive Parents’ Association.

Solihull has more than 1,500 pupils, of whom around 450 are in the Preparatory School.

Solihull’s examination results are excellent; in 2024, 50% of A Level grades were marked A* to A and 79% were marked A* to B. 92% of pupils went to their chosen universities. 96% of students were acepted into their university of choice. 

Solihull aims to support both staff and pupils in being ambitious and maximising their potential, as well as providing breadth of opportunity. Teaching at Solihull

Solihull School employs almost 320 staff in both teaching and support staff roles.

Teaching staff are knowledgeable in their subject area, and inspire pupils to excel.  All teaching staff are expected to contribute to the exciting co-curricular programme.

The school facilitates and mentors unqualified teachers through Initial Teacher Training via the King Edward’s Consortium or assessment-only route, and welcomes applications from suitably experienced unqualified teachers.
