About St Mary's Catholic High School
St Mary’s is changing - from academic standards, to behaviour, goals and ethos, offering an education that treats our students as individuals, teaches them respect for themselves and each other, and encourages them to emerge into the wider world as well-educated, well-rounded, ambitious and confident young adults.
Our new leadership team and staff, headed up by Mr P. Shields, means we can offer our students, from year 7 through to Sixth Form and the school community in Croydon new aspirations and the energy, enthusiasm and resources to reach them.
St Mary’s has already been put in the top 10% of schools in the country for Value Added Best 8 Subjects. We are also a member of the Mayor of London’s Schools’ Gold Club, establishing it in the top 7% of secondary schools asked to demonstrate best practise to other establishments.
All are welcome at St Mary’s, regardless of ethnic or religious background as our core values of hard work, self-respect, respect for others and morality is universal.
