The Aga Khan Academy Maputo
Opened in 2013, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo is a day and residential school, located in Maputo, Mozambique, offering an education built upon the renowned and internationally recognised International Baccalaureate (IB) programme for students aged 3-18. The Academy is part of the wider Aga Khan Academies network, which will, in time, form a global learning community of 18 schools in 14 countries across Africa, Europe, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East.
The Aga Khan Academy Maputo features a world-class, purpose-built campus in Matola city – located in the Maputo Province of Mozambique. The Academy selects talented students from within Mozambique, Africa and across the globe based on merit, regardless of their socio-economic background, faith, origin or gender.
The aim of the Academies is to develop future leaders with the skills and knowledge to support positive development in their societies, by recruiting exceptional young people from all backgrounds and providing them with the highest international standard of education.
