About The British School of Egypt - BSE

The British School of Egypt – BSE is a co-educational independent all-through school based in Sheikh Zayed City in Egypt. 

The school uses a broad and balanced national curriculum that is used in England and Wales in addition to the Egyptian Ministry of Education curriculum when it comes to the Arabic language, social studies, and religion. In terms of facilities, it has IT suites boasting state of the art technology. Pupils are able to use the latest, interactive, educational software programmes available from the UK. The British School of Egypt also uses a house system.

Values and vision

The British School of Egypt aims to create a stimulating learning environment that challenges thinking and refines each individual’s talents and skills. It also wishes to promote what it sees as global principles of pursuing an eco-friendly lifestyle. Above all, the school values respect, loyalty, compassion, faith, and integrity. The British School of Egypt also prides itself on what is views as its philanthropic nature. Indeed, every year the school raises money for a charitable cause, through its annual Compassion Appeal. At the school, importance is also placed on democracy. It has a Pupil Council made up of elected representatives from each class. The school also aims, through its Creative Arts Department, to develop pupils’ sense of self, their interpersonal skills and intra-personal awareness, alongside their ability to apply knowledge, their understanding and practical ability within Music, Drama and Art and Design.
