Values and vision

The Green School for Boys’ ambition is for its students to reach beyond their grasp. Boys will have opportunities to develop a compassionate outlook. Through Collective Worship and PSHE, pupils will be encouraged to reflect on and develop a concern for those in different circumstances from their own.   The school will promote a desire for success by teaching problem-solving techniques, work habits and questioning skills.

Teachers will adopt a boy-centric approach to teaching, offering creative, active learning. Boys will learn from their successes and failures, and learn how to lead others. The school will involve mentors to make sure that every student is engaged in his education.

The Green School’s curriculum is designed for a multi-cultural context, teaching Christian and British values. There will be a broad curriculum and a plethora of extra-curricular opportunities, whether sporting, artistic, musical, linguistic, creative or scientific. There will be two hours a week of compulsory enrichment activities in which boys will be encouraged to try new activities.
