Values and Vision

The James Hornsby motto is “Together We Excel”. The school seeks to foster a lifelong love of learning, and stresses the need for excellence, living out family values and providing a high quality and inspiring education for its students, for whom it has high aspirations. The three principal aims of the school are putting students first, investing in staff and strengthening community.

Students can also take part in a number of extracurricular activities, ranging from maths club and musical lessons to textiles club. It also has a club known as @NewsBeat Reporters, which teaches students investigative reporting techniques.

“School leaders have succeeded in bringing pupils together into a positive, caring school community which promotes high expectations for attitudes towards learning, relationships and attendance.”
