This lesson is the third in a sequence of lessons that exposes students to activities that will help them understand how the different components in a computer system interact and communicate with each other.

This lesson focuses on the different types of internal main memory in a computer, that are used to start up and keep the computer running. Students learn about the differences in functionality and purpose of ROM, RAM and cache memory.
