A first, friendly introduction to coding in Scratch. Pupils program their teacher (who takes every order literally), find out why you don’t put the milk in before the cereal, meet Colin the bat and Big Ed the ogre, and learn exactly where every block lives. Six lessons later they build their own game: dodging the fireballs from Big Ed’s dragons.

Covers: sequencing, sprites and scripts, variables, selection (if / else), operators (= < >, NOT, OR, AND), loops (repeat, forever, repeat until) and trace tables. All of it comes together in a final game.

What you get:
• 6 self-contained interactive lesson pages that pupils work through beside Scratch
• Every idea explained in plain Year 7 language, with the real Scratch blocks drawn on the page and a colour key so pupils can find every block (especially the three oranges!)
• Predict-first questions, block-ordering puzzles and fault finding in every lesson
• Star challenges for quick finishers, and help for those who need it
• A test and a Coder certificate in lesson 6
• No Scratch accounts, no logins, no installs, no pupil data stored
• Teacher Instructions and IT Instructions included
