This task allows students to explore additive and multiplicative patterns in context - perfect for developing an understanding of ratio, pattern and algebraic relationships.

Students will act as florists for the Bloom Room, where they will review measurements for flower growth, costs of items, and delivery weights. For each scenario, students will identify whether the pattern is additive or multiplicative, note the multiplier or addition, identify any base number, and extend the pattern further.

This activity also comes with an additional extended challenge to provoke higher order reasoning and develop mathematical thinking.

Note: there are 2 versions of the task, in Pound Sterling (£) and US Dollars ($), to use as you prefer.

This download provides both the Editable PPT Version and the PDF Version.
