Here are 12 different daily arithmetic starters I have been using with my class to aid them with the arithmetic revision.
Each morning, at the start of the lesson I give out these ‘Terrific Tens’. There is a stop watch on the board for ten minutes and music (children’s choice.). This is to aid children’s application of knowledge. The questions are linked to the White Rose Scheme but also based around Year 6 arithmetic paper.
If a child gets 10/10 on these, I let them choose the song for the next day.
