• The difference between atoms, ions and isotopes

•Relative Atomic Mass and Atomic number- Students then complete a task where they identify whether a particle is an ion, isotope or atom and how many protons, neutrons and electrons it has

•Relative formula mass - Students then practice calculating the relative formula mass of a range of different compounds

•Relative atomic mass from isotope abundance - Students then practice calculating the relative atomic mass given data on isotope abundance

•As this lesson is a lot of recapping from GCSE, I have included some challenging application questions at the end to flesh the lesson out
