This lesson has a riddle as a starter, just click on the picture and it will play, the solution is on the next slide.
Next you just make sure the students can use the power key on the calculator where they answer 4 questions. Then the same for basic percentages, there are 2 questions which they can try.
You then introduce the interest on a bank account for 1 year and then talk about how bank accounts have the interest left in and then the new amount is invested the next year.
The formulas for an increase and decrease in compound interest is shown and then questions are on the next few pages have increase questions, decrease questions and then a mix of both, they show exactly what should be written down and the solution for each question.
At the end for a plenary are worded questions again with the solution you can reveal.
