This is a fantastic resource containing notes from the OCR A Level Religious Studies topic of Conscience including the views of what Conscience is from Aquinas and Freud as it looks at both the differences and strange similarities of taking either a theological or Psychological approach to the questions of Conscience.

The Notes covers Aquinas’s understanding of Ratio and Ignorance as well as Freud’s understanding of Conscience as the relationships between the Id, the Ego and the Super Ego.

The notes also covers a range of other scholarly views on conscience such as Fromm and Piaget.
