What’s included?
This pdf download includes x3 pages designed in landscape orientation featuring ten pairs of hands (each showing x10 fingers!) to practise counting in 10’s up to 100. This resource has been designed in black and white for easy, clear printing.

What’s it for?
This resource helps learners practice counting to 100 in tens using ten pairs of hands. It includes x3 pages and is designed as a cut-and-stick activity. For learners who prefer writing, a separate writing version is available.

The level of support can be adjusted based on the sheet you provide. The third page contains answers, laid out in the same format for easy reference.

Who’s it for?
This resource has been designed for pupils in Y1 and Y2 as well as older pupils needing additional support with their learning. This resource may be suitable for some pupils in Reception.

Cut-and-Stick!
This resource is designed for learners who find writing numbers challenging or those who enjoy hands-on activities. It is a cut-and-stick activity where the numbers to be cut are located at the bottom of the sheets. The cutting dots provided guide learners to cut the numbers out correctly. For learners who find cutting difficult, an adult can pre-cut the numbers to save time and provide support.

Resource layout
There is a space on each sheet for learners to record the number date (top, right) and write their name.

  • Page 1 - least challenging
Page 1 has ten boxes, each with a set of ten fingers. Under each image is a space for the learner to cut and stick the correct number in tens. The numbers “30” and “100” are already filled in, leaving eight gaps to complete. This is the least challenging sheet in the set due to the two provided numbers.

  • Page 2 - most challenging
This page features ten boxes, each with a set of ten fingers and a blank space for learners to stick the correct number in tens. This sheet is the most challenging in the set because all the boxes are blank and the numbers (to cut out at the bottom) are mixed up. To provide support, an adult can pre-write some of the numbers before giving it to the learner.

Page 3
Page 3 serves as a complete answer key with all the numbers filled in, making it a clear reference for learners. They can use it to check their own work, which encourages independence. This page could also be used as a helpful classroom display.
