This lesson is designed to last for 1 hour and is resourced with videos, extension questioning, deep thinking and uses graphs/images to aid learning.

This lesson follows the Edexcel KS4 curriculum and looks at soil erosion and desertification and the human and natural causes of them. Students will then question whether this problem is more natural or man made after being present with both sides. Students will move on to a carousel activity looking at the impacts of desertification such as famine, migration, loss of agricultural land, conflict and soil degradation.

This lesson includes a starter, lesson objective, plenary, exam question and various student led activities.
