Design Technology Initial Assessment, Skate Deck Design

These are the resources I used for my GCSE design technology initial assessment. It is currently set for the AQA Design and Technology SHORT COURSE criteria but can be easily adapted!!

The resources include:
Initial presentation
Deck templates
Student facing brief sheet
Assignment paperwork

I presented the initial PowerPoint presentation and provided the students with the templates and brief sheet. I gave them eight hours to complete the project the best of their capabilities.

For an added WOW factor I provided the students with MDF skate deck boards to put their final designs on. The Students loved this brief from start to finish and engaged with the subject all year!
