The resource booklet covers background theory , worksheets and extension questions on diffusion for IGCSE/GCSE Chemistry. The resource covers the classic diffusion experiments of potassium permanganate in water and concentrated ammonia solution with concentrated hydrochloric acid. I have also included several examples of diffusion in everyday life for the students to evaluate.
I have essentially provided a workbook for the students that covers all the main principles of diffusion and provided practical opportunities for them to explore diffusion visually. I have also included several extension questions so that the range of abilities within the class is challenged.
Students write their answers directly into the booklet The booklet will be a very useful revision resource on this topic once completed.
Finally I have included solutions to all the tasks set in the booklet at the end.
The resource is designed for IGCSE/GCSE Chemistry but is also relevant to Key Stage 3 Chemistry where some aspects of diffusion is also covered.
