Divide and conquer: Development around the world

This unit takes your students on a journey through world development. The first series of lessons focus on the UK development. This includes the reasons and consequences to the north south divide within the country. The scheme of learning then focuses on development around the world, exploring the physical ad human reasons behind uneven development before investigating the consequences of uneven development in countries such as Brazil and South Africa. The topics ends with a detailed look at aid and how charities and governments are aiming to close the gap between rich and poor.
