A Design and Technology project originally designed in alignment with a unit of the AQA Unit Award Scheme. The unit has been expanded up to eight lessons.

The bundle contains the following lessons, each with a lesson plan and PowerPoint. Some lessons include exit tickets as part of the formative assessment process,:

  1. Exploring Board games and fair play
  2. Exploring game rules
  3. Researching existing board games
  4. Designing your own games
  5. Designing playing pieces
  6. Making the board
  7. Making the playing pieces
  8. Reflecting on our outcomes

This is primarily designed as a Key Stage 4 unit, but could easily be adapted to challenge Key Stage 3 pupils.

This project can run in a DT workshop or be adapted to work in a non specialist classroom
