Resources included (2)
A couple of unusual visual quizzes for students in KS3 and KS4.
Each element or place is represented by a number of pictures/ cartoons.
Students literally say what they see to produce a homonym of the element or place.
There are three files with the elements resource;
- a PowerPoint with just the handout slides on it, the quiz questions and a screen grab of the AQA GCSE periodic table.
- The full powerpoint with the handouts, larger zoomed in slides, to view on a whiteboard and the answers.
- The AQA GCSE periodic table as a pdf, if you want more clarity on the handouts.
There are two files with the places resource;
- a PowerPoint with just the handout slides on it, the 36 quiz questions
- The full PowerPoint with the handouts, larger zoomed in slides, to view on a whiteboard and the answers.
Thiese resources are great end of term brainteasers. They can take nearly an hour to complete and I always ask the students that finish first to make up a few of their own and add them to the sheet.
