Exam Wrapper - AQA/OCR/VCERT
A flexible Word document designed to support exam feedback and reflection following any test, mock or GCSE-style exam paper. It can be adapted for any subject or key stage, allowing teachers to structure post-exam feedback clearly, helping students identify strengths, address misconceptions and target the specific skills needed to improve on their next assessment.
This document can be used across multiple subjects, exam boards and key stages and has proved very useful at GCSE level.
The example given is in line with a GCSE PE paper.
This is a teacher-led document, completed by students following the return of a marked exam paper.
Students use the What did excellence look like?, Misconceptions and SPAG/Common literacy errors boxes to record the feedback given by their teacher and compare it against their own answers, while Next steps, Feedforward and Deeper learning opportunities ask them to set clear, actionable targets for future work.
The Most difficult topic/question box gets students reflecting on where they struggled most, giving teachers useful whole-class insight into gaps to revisit. The final I DO / WE DO / YOU DO section maps directly onto AO1 (Knowledge), AO2 (Application) and AO3 (Explanation), letting students log examples of each assessment objective from their own paper — giving teachers a quick, structured way to see whether gaps sit at the knowledge, application or explanation stage when reviewing completed wrappers as a class or in one-to-one feedback conversations.
