With this lesson plan we can introduce the present Subjunctive tense using feelings and moods. There are 7 activities focusing on the oral expression and interaction. Students will learnt when we use Subjunctive or Infinitive with these feelings and moods expressions.

Activity 1: Introducing the topic. Students read some opinions about what Friendship means and they express agreement or disagreement and also write/express their own opinion in pairs or small groups.
Activity 2: Individually (or in pairs) students read a test “Are you a good friend?” and answer the questions. With a classmate they express agreement or disagreement about the test results. They can read and answer the questions in pairs and the classmate read the test results to each other.
Activity 3/4: Introducing the Subjunctive tense. Students can learn how to conjugate the verb, look for examples on the previous activity and write more examples to prove they understand the grammar rules: When to use Subjunctive or Infinitive with expressions of feelings and moods.
Activity 5: Students put in practice what they just learnt by expressing what makes them happy/ angry/ what annoys them relating to their friends personality or behaviour. They need to make sentences like: “Me molesta que mis amigos no sean pacientes”; “Me gusta que…”; etc. They work in pairs or small groups and they look for things in common with other students.
Activity 6: Using similar expressions they will express their feelings and moods about classmates instead of friendship. They will be using more new expressions of feelings and moods and they will express their own and after, they will ask two more students about theirs. They can change the partner on this activity (to the previous one) and ask two different classmates about their feelings relating classmates. When they finish each student (or a few if there are two many in class) will say what opinions they liked or surprised them the most or what they have in common with others.
Activity 7: As homework there is an activity to write a letter to a friend or a classmate telling them what they feel about them or how they make them feel sometimes.
