This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning about French Festivals. The lesson teaches the class about six festivals e.g. Bastille Day. There is the French word for each festival, a little bit of information in English and two more French phrases linked to the festival. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a longer unit on France.

The plan gives details of a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a reading activity, a drawing task, a speaking activity and plenary whole class game. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.

There is also a bit of information in English about each of the eight places that are mentioned. * Lesson 5 - **French Festivals** - The children learn about six festivals. There is the French word for each festival, a little bit of information in English and two more French phrases linked to the festival. The plans all give details of a starter, how to teach the new vocabulary, followed by a combination of listening activities, speaking activities, reading/writing activities and plenary. Each lesson is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills. All resources needed for the lessons are included in the price.
