Our Spring 1 topic is all about Kings, Queens and castles. We decided last year to focus this topic on King Charles and introducing the children to him and what his role involves. We then move on to talk about the army who protects us and then to talk about where King Charles lives.
It is a lovely way of introducing the Royal Family to children and give them some key vocabulary which helps them as they move into Year 1.
