This scheme of work is aimed at Year 7 or Year 8 and is based on the theme of the Titanic, exploring using Drama conventions / techniques in a performance.

There is enough work in the scheme for 7 or 8 one hour lessons.

Included is a detailed breakdown of lesson plans with full instructions so that the scheme can be taught by anyone including non specialists. There are interesting Powerpoints which include images, video links and are also clear enough for SEND students. There are accompanying resource materials which you can print for differentiation including character profiles, a planning sheet and model example for the assessment and key lines to help students create a successful performance. There is a detailed assessment grid which I use for this scheme but this can edited for your own school’s wording.

This has been a highly popular scheme of work that I have used with mainly Year 7 students for a number of years. This is all my own work and has been developed and changed over the years to provide the best outcomes for student’s learning.
